Welcome to Sandton Décor Hire, a division of Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website www.sandtondecorhire.co.za (“the Site”) and our products and services. By using our Site, you agree to these Terms.

Website Use

The Site provides information and an online catalogue for décor hire, allowing you to submit enquiries and quotation requests.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of it.

You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the Site or its content without our prior written consent.
Quotations, Bookings & Payments

All orders must be submitted via the website. www.sandtondecorhire.co.za.

Email confirmation of product availability is required to process an official order.

Quotations are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.

A booking is confirmed only once payment or deposit has been received and acknowledged in writing. Items are subject to availability, and payment of the deposit secures the items.

A deposit of 50% of the quotation value is required to confirm the booking.

The full balance is payable no later than 5 working days before collection/delivery unless specified on the invoice. No orders will be prepared without full payment.

Payments are processed securely via EFT and online YOCO payments.

All prices Exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Cancellation of confirmed orders will be subject to a minimum cancellation fee of 20%.

No refunds will be made for cancellations within 7 days of the event date.

Refundable Deposits are processed on Fridays.
Collection & Returns

Items must be collected and returned at the agreed times.

All items must be returned in their original condition; cleaning or repair charges may apply if items are damaged or soiled.

The client is to provide adequate security measures to ensure the safety of the goods hired.

Any shortages, damage or losses to hired items will be charged to the client at replacement value.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that items can fit into their vehicle, are packed carefully to avoid damage, and that all items ordered are loaded into the vehicle on collection.

On collection and delivery, it is the responsibility of the client to note any shortages before leaving the premises/prior to the client’s event. Any shortages or damages thereafter will be billed to the client.

All hire items must be protected from rain, particularly haybales, which will be charged at replacement value if returned wet.

All items remain the property of Sandton Décor Hire.

Returns are to be made on Mondays by 10am unless specifically arranged.

Late returns will be billed as a shortage invoice or as additional hire, should items not be returned within 5 days.
Intellectual Property

All content, logos, images, designs, and text on this Site are owned by or licensed to Sandton Décor Hire. No content may be copied or reproduced without written permission.
Limitation of Liability

While we take care to provide accurate and reliable information, the Site and its content are provided “as is.”
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or our products and services.
Third Party Services

We use third-party platforms such as Wix for forms and YOCO for payment processing.
These providers have their own terms and privacy policies which you should review before using their services.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts in Johannesburg.
